‘Cherry and Almond Chelsea Flower Chelsea Bun’. Annabelle says... "I made my Chelsea Buns into the shape of a flower as flowers always make me happy and I thought it would make the children in hospital smile if they saw them. I made my Chelsea Buns with maraschino cherries, sultanas, almonds and marzipan. I glazed them with a cherry glaze and lemon and cherry icing." Jane Asher says..."I can’t resist this: a stunningly beautiful presentation of these delicious-sounding buns."

"My Cranberry and Orange Chelsea Buns are festive flavoured and in the shape of a flower." Christabel is entering the World Chelsea Bun Awards Charity Bake Off for the second time! Lady Sophie Windsor says... "a wonderful festive flavour cranberry and orange, and a great photo too, really professional food photography at play here."

Chocolate Orange Chelsea Buns. Lady Sophie Windsor says... "these chocolate and orange buns look totally delicious and a great texture, a spoiling and delectable flavour combination too - a really lovely elegant photograph too."

Baked and photographed by Rhea, 16 years old: "Inspired by a recent trip to Morocco, this Chelsea Bun is delicately flavoured with rosewater and has swirls of freeze-dried raspberries and moreish pistachios to add texture. It is garnished with rose petals and gold leaf. It pairs perfectly with Moroccan mint tea." Lady Sophie Windsor says... "elegant, evocative, sumptuous and exotic, beautifully thought-out and executed."

"Chelsea Buns in a heart shape decorated with blue and yellow icing as we think of everyone in Ukraine. Filled with the colours of the flag - blueberries and flavoured with fresh lemons." Jane Asher says... "In this awful year, I would like to add a special mention for Katie Lovass’ sensitive and kind idea of making a heart-shaped presentation in the colours of the Ukrainian flag, echoed in the additions to the recipe of blueberries and lemons."

Thomas' first time baking Chelsea buns! Jane Asher says..."Special mention to 9 year old Thomas, who has made, as his first bun-making effort, some sticky, tempting buns that have a wonderfully home-made look and I bet taste fantastic. Hope to see you in more competitions in the future Thomas!"
