FOR CHARITY
2019 - 2025
Entrants are requested to make a donation to The Children’s Surgery Foundation to support its Beam Campaign and/or to The Felix Project which is London’s largest food redistribution charity.
The Children's Surgery Foundation
Donations to The Children’s Surgery Foundation will go towards supporting its Beam Campaign which aims to ensure that intravenous access is a more efficient and less intimidating procedure for young patients and their families. The charity is hoping to raise sufficient funds to purchase an ultrasound vein finder for every paediatric surgical department in the UK.

The World Chelsea Bun Awards has so far raised £30,000 for the charity.
The charity works in partnership with the British Association of Paediatric Surgeons.

The Felix Project
The Felix Project is London’s largest food redistribution charity.
Its vision is a London where good food is never wasted, and no one goes hungry. They rescue high quality, surplus food that would otherwise go to waste and redistribute it to over 1,200 community organisations across the capital.
Their research found 1 in 4 working families in London regularly struggle to feed their children which is an estimated 325,000 families.

Toto Dell’ Aringa is the Chief Trainer at The Felix Project and is one of this year’s judges.
Toto says: "My motto in the kitchen is that food tastes better when it has a story to tell and with so many considerations, from appearance to sustainability, for competitors to think about I am sure that the Chelsea Buns will have some stories behind them. I cannot wait to be part of the judging panel, not only will I get to taste some amazing bakes I am delighted that the event will be supporting The Felix Project."
